Während sich Susie dadurch nicht von ihrem Vorhaben abbringen lässt, beginnt Sara, mit der sich Susie angefreundet hatte, den Geheimnissen auf den Grund zu gehen ….Wer das Original kennt, weiß genau worauf dies jetzt hinauslaufen wird, denn neben derselben Ausgangslage greift Guadagnino auch die Mythologie rund um die drei mächtigen Hexen Mater Suspiriorum (Mutter der Seufzer), Mater Tenebrarum (Mutter der Dunkelheit) und Mater Lachrymarum (Mutter der Tränen) auf.
Anders als moderne Giallo-Vertreter wie z.B. Literally aspect of this film is fantastic and, to say more would to spoil the experience.If you are a connoisseur of horror and love the subtler classics like Picnic at Hanging Rock and The Haunting of Hill House (1963 version), you will love the new Suspiria. While this release aspires to cinematic greatness, sadly it ends up yet another exercise in artsy pretentiousness in the same vein as "Mother!"

Come per i film horror, anche i thriller...Se hai sempre sentito parlare del “dark web” e questo termine ti intriga e appassiona ma ti spaventa anche, sei...Molti film di successo sono tratti da storie vere. Il Suspiria di Guadagnino è un film che farà sicuramente parlare di sé. Inhaltlich haben beide Filme die Grundprämisse gemein. Jung erwähnt und was hat das mit dem Film zu tun? Aber abgesehen davon, dass wir es mit Hexen zu tun bekommen, hat das Remake mit seiner Inspiration wenig gemein.
