We had a fantastic room with a lovely note and free champagne to celebrate. The Castello della Castelluccia was built at the times of historic Rome (between the 12th and 13th century) by the noble Cancellieri family, descendents of the Orsini. I don't know how you could go wrong with them. Prices are calculated as of 27/07/2020 based on a check-in date of 09/08/2020.
It was clear they, could provide pretty much anything we could have asked for, different flowers, cake etc.
We had our own rooms. Built on the remains of an Imperial villa between the 11th and 13th Centuries it is perhaps best known for its beautiful extensive gardens and compelling romantic atmosphere. It stands on the site of an ancient Roman villa. Surrounded by green hills, shady woods and picturesque meadows, the castle offers only 23 guest rooms and 3 meeting rooms with maximum capacity up to 450 people. It was absolutely beautiful.
The front staff were amazing! Pasta dishes were priced at 10-15 euros, sliced beef fillets starting at 20 euros, wine also starting at about 20 euros/bottle, and desserts(mind blowing excellence) priced at 8 euros. It’s a castle so very medieval and a bit dark but not the ideal place if you are doing the tourist stuff in Rome, which we weren’t,as it’s a bit cut off, and at least 40 minutes away to central Rome by car.But great place to hold a reception. We drove to the hotel from Rome Ciampino and were greeted by a very striking and imposing building set in beautiful grounds. The room was lovely with generous size twin beds and a nice bathroom. Facilities of Castello della Castelluccia include the restaurant 'La Locanda', a beautiful medieval-inspired restaurant, located adjacent to the castle's Magnolia Terrace, a semi-Olympic sized swimming pool, private parking, the word-class Golf Club La Castelluccia and a Relaxation Area, complete with a hydro-massage pool, Jacuzzi and Turkish steam bath. During our wedding planning, Fabrizio and his team made us feel at ease at every step and nothing was too much trouble. Oggi quella stessa magica atmosfera, gli angoli romantici, i giardini incantevoli, vi attendono per un piacevole tuffo nel passato.
Well very glad we did I came here with my adult daughter. Indika was in charge of the dinner and was such a pleasure. We met several members of staff in various capacities, all of whom were friendly and happy to converse with us in English / laughable holiday Italian.
They were so helpful on the 1st day when I was pickpocketed at the station, thankfully they dropped my wallet and took nothing.
